Spanish Courses
GENERAL SPANISH COURSES
These courses are flexible as regards duration.
Classes can be for groups or individuals. In both cases classes will commence on a Monday and finish on a Friday. Hence each student commits to an agreed number of weeks of Spanish classes.
Each student will do a level test in order to determine the appropriate group for the student or in order to allow the private teacher to select appropriate teaching material.
We offer all levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.
We pay special attention to pronunciation, use of grammar, oral fluency, written language, etc.
La Casa del Español also prepares students for the three levels of the DELE exams. Our teachers can provide detailed information about these exams.
INTENSIVE COURSES
Our Intensive Courses are for closed groups from 4 to 8 students per class and have a short duration and a minimum attendance of one week.
INTENSIVE COMBINED COURSES
Our Intensive Combined Courses are for closed groups, from 4 to 8 students in class and have a short duration and a minimum attendance of one week. In addition to classes in group where students can interact with their classmates, each student will have one-to-one classes to answer their specific needs.
EXTENSIVE COURSES
Our Extensive Courses are thought for resident foreigners who want to improve or perfect their Spanish and are living in Valladolid. They will have one or two lessons weekly, each one of two hours.
ONE-to-TWO COURSES
Our One-to-Two Courses are for closed groups of two students and could vary depending on the number of hours they want to have per week. The students could choose their schedule according to availability of the Center.
ONE-to-ONE COURSES
Students can choose their schedule and may cancel classes 24 hours in advance. Individual lessons allow the student to have specialized attention according to their needs.
THERE ARE NO CLASSES ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS
1st January, 6th January, 21st, 22nd and 23rd April, 13th May, 15th August, 8th September, 12th October, 1st November, 6th and 8th December.

STAR INTENSIVE COURSES
Our Star intensive courses are short intensive courses for closed groups, minimum duration one week.
The group chooses the start date of the course, subject to availability of the Centre.
The levels of the classes are also adapted to the needs of the group and are negotiated with the organisers of the trip, whether this be a school or a private group.
Levels most frequently requested: A2, B1 and B2.
Classes are given in the mornings, normally between 10.00 and 13.00.
The price of the course includes cultural activities in the afternoons, excursions, accommodation with families, transport to and from the airport, bus pass for use in Valladolid as well as the Spanish classes, teaching materials and a certificate given at the end of the course.
In addition, La Casa del Español also offers free accommodation (with a family) for one teacher/tutor per 10 students on the course.

DELE PREPARATION COURSES
La Casa del Español offers preparation classes for all 4 levels of the DELE exams: Preliminary, Intermediate, Higher and the exam recently introduced by the Cervantes Institute (A1).
The DELE preparation courses are classified according to level: A1, B1, B2 and C2.
Preparation for these exams takes place in the Centre and our teachers are highly qualified and experienced.
Students may sign up for private classes or group classes.
Classes commence on a Monday and finish on a Friday. Hence each student commits to an agreed number of weeks of Spanish classes.
Each student will do a level test in order to determine the appropriate group for the student.
The preparation time for the different exams is as follows: (recommended hours, although it could vary depending on each student, all beginning from level 0)
- DELE BEGINNER - A1 (60 hours)
- DELE ELEMENTARY - A2 (90 hours)
- DELE PRE INTERMEDIATE - B1 (120 hours)
- DELE UPPER INTERMEDIATE - B2 (160 hours)
- DELE ADVANCED - C1 (190)
- DELE PROFICIENCY- C2 (230 hours)
SPANISH FOR BUSINESS
These courses are aimed at those students who, because of work or training, want to base their Spanish classes around business.
Classes can be for groups or individuals.
Classes commence on a Monday and finish on a Friday. Hence each student commits to an agreed number of weeks of Spanish classes.
Each student will do a level test in order to determine the appropriate group for the student or in order to allow the private teacher to select appropriate teaching material.
